The Mahankal temple is situated just at the side of the road opposite to
and army hospital, near New Road gate in Kathmandu. Mahankal denotes someone
who is beyond time and the lored Mahankal is also known as Mahankaleswar. The
temple is one of the most amazing examples of the Nepalese ancient heritage. Quite
every day thousand of devotees come to worship the lord in this temple.
Lord Mahankal is also considered as a form of Lord Shiva. Mahankal is belived to the controller of time and one who can save from bad times in the life of the people.
