The fifteen-day Dashain festival begins with Ghatasthapana,
which is the first day of Dashain. Ghatasthapana is also known as Kalasthapana.
Which means installation of a
holy water jar in the house, for invoking the supreme Goddess Maha Laxmi
popularly known as Goddess Durga.
In this day, the Kalash tholy water vessel) is filled with holy water and placed in the center of leaf plate full fill by sand form river bank.
