Doko is a kind of basket made from bamboo. Doko is woven by hand in netted form giving it a conical shape or a "V" shape. Dokos are used carry everything for our daily lives, such as grass for cattle, firewood from the jungle in countryside of Nepal.
Making Doko is not easy. It is made from dry bamboo shoots. It is made up of bamboo cut into long straps and joined together. It carry by the rope called “Namlo” which is a head strap which goes around the head and helps people carry weight on their back. it is hard and rough on the forehead a soft cloth is used to decrease the pressure.
